os x yosemite support?

I’m currious if an update was going to be made to support os x yosemite? My monopoly game played fine under os x mavericks, after I upgraded to os x yosemite, I can’t read the dice & my tokens look like silver blobs. at this time I find this game unplayable.

Way Behind

I have this on both my iPod and iPad, but where updated with the cat along time ago yet this still does not have even that. Cant speak for other updates, but it is pretty lame.

Not updated for OSX Yosemite

As one of my all time favorite games, I’m sorely disappointed this game hasn’t received an update in over 2 years. If you’ve upgraded to OSX Yosemite, don’t bother purchasing or trying to play this game. The tokens are missing all their textures so you only see blocks and the dice don’t have their number indicators on them anymore. They’re blank cubes so you have no idea what you rolled. Granted it the game moves your tokens for you, but playing blindly is lame. I tried for about 30 seconds before I got fed up with it.

Please FIX IT!!!

I love this game on my iPhone and thought that I would like it on my mac. I can not get the graphics to work. I’ve tried all the usual trouble shooting but there are still gray globs and dice. Other graphics are wacky, too. It is very disappointing!

Rendering issues with Yosemite

Love the game but currently characters and dice are not rendering since I updated my Mac to Yosemite.

Disappointing and annyoing to play.

The game itself is what it is. No surprises. So the only thing they could get wrong is the design and interaction. The animated actions are horrible and distracting. Even when you shut off animation, it only skips the silly cartoon animations of the player pieces, leaving very annoying and distracting motions in everything else. For instance, whenever someone rolls the dice, the entire view jolts and zooms and swings. It’s not only incredibly distracting from actual game play, but it’s as nauseating as a roller coaster. And it unnecessarily slows down the game. And playing against any computer players is as limited and disappointing as it’s been since they first launched the digital game. This was fine for a first try at game design, but the AI/computer players do very foolish things that make the game overly simple and disappointing. They broke severl basic game design principles in this. Very, very disappointing.

Needs Yosemite update

I liked the game but it became unusable when my MBP mid -2009 was updated to system 10.10. Please fix it.

I like it… for the most part.

It appears that most Yosemite users are having problems even though I am not. I figured that I would take a chance on this game. I like Monopoly but don’t get to play the board version because the wife hates it. I thought, in a worst case scenario, I just won’t see detail on tokens and the dice. I am having no issues with tokens or dice- everything shows 100%. Much like others have said, the difficulty setting makes sure that your properties aren’t hit by the AI and you will land on bad spots. It sounds as if people upgraded to Yosemite and then started having problems with the game. I am running a 2012 MBP (non-retina) with a clean (not upgraded) Yosemite install. IDK if the clean install, 16G RAM, the SSD, or a combination of all of these helped me avoid issues. The one thing I will say is that my MBP gets quite hot but doesn’t malfunction when playing this game. Other than the lame difficulty setting, I am enjoying it since I haven’t played in years. I feel it was worth the $10 since my MBP will run it.

Solid Dice… Interesting concept

I have this app on my iPad. Works great. Downloaded the version for Mac. Yikes. Looks like a faulty port. The dice are solid colors with no dots. The player pieces are not player pieces, but, shardes of geometric messes. This is not a playable app. How do I get my money back? Monopoly Support does not have any support for Monopoly. MacBook Pro Retina 15”. Running Yosemite. Help… UN-Happy in Austin.

upgraded to 10.10 Yosemite and it screwed game up - cant play

loved it while i was running 10.6 and 10.8 but i upgraded to 10.10 and the dice and game peices are all screwed up. Game still plays but really a mess with the screwed up graphics. Hope theres a fix in the works

Needs some work

I can not see the dice numbers. I just see cubes spin then it tells me what the result is. I can not make out the tokens they are just a jumbled mess. Outside of that the game seems sound. But until they fix those two problems you should not buy.

Stupid App

Hi I hate…made fool…..No Online Multiplayer game….I can play it for free online….. If i had to pay $9 dollar will go to real store and buy real game……

Needs an update for Yosemite...

This was a nicely made game, unfortunately since the upgrade to Yosemite there are some minor issues that don’t make the game unplayable, but they significantly dampen the experience to the point that it becomes unenjoyable. One, you can’t see the dots on the dice. So you roll them blindly, and the computer just tells you what you rolled afterward. Two, the shapes of the monopoly pieces are indistinct blobs. Now, neither of these things is a major hindrance to playing the game, but together they are an annoyance that makes the $9.99 pricetag seem ludicrous in hindsight (it was priced a bit high to begin with). If this gets fixed I will happily upgrade my review.

Fun but with major issues

Like others have pointed out, the game does not render the dice or the players properly. This combined with the game’s camera movements means it can be diffiult to know where players are on the board (even with animations turned off). I do wish the camera would be still more often. Playing on the hardest difficulty simply means you will go to jail 10-15 times every game and always land on income tax. There doesn’t seem to be much difference in the actual AI strategy from easy -> hard, you just get unluckier. I wish the AI was a bit more sophisticated. An example: AI players will always trade you two of their properties for one of yours (if it doesn’t break up a monopoly) if you add a cash balance until your trade is worth a little more than their properties. You can do this over and over again until the other players only have one property left. Real players would obviously never allow this. I like the game but it needs some work.

Just bought game and it doesn’t allow me to see the numbers.

Just bought this game for $9.99 and I can’t even play the first game. It doesn’t allow me to see the numbers on the dice. I want a refund - its useless on Yosemite.

Save your Money!

Can’t see the numbers on the Dice when you roll. Figures become Blobs when they move. Where’s the Fun?

Good game, too much visual special effect!!

Too much animation and special visual effect!! It’s tired to keep watching the game! And it frequently change angles again and again. Someone tell me how to stop the it changing the angle!!!

Please fix or take it off the market.

Purchased this because the iPad version no longer works properly. Now I find that the desktop version has more flaws than the iPad version. Dice faces do not render, you have to wait for the game to tell you what to roll. Tokens do not render in this version. The quality of product of EA Games is REALLY BAD lately.

Dice and Games pieces do not render, No Support option for the Monoply Game For Mac OS X

Dice and Game Pieces do not render correctly, No support option for Mac OS X when going to the support link in app store. If they are not going to fix these issues either apple or the developer need to take this app down if they are not going to fix and correct these issues.

Bad Bad Bad graphics rendering

The game itself is awesome, especially if your a huge monopoly fan. Unfortunately, the games graphics seem to never find a spot where you can see the whole game without any issues. The majority of the time it’s the dice and the actual gaming characters that seem to have issues. They’re ussually invisible or very badly rendered. PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE! (and yes, i’ve played with the visual settings both through the game and on my mac itself.
