The game itself is what it is. No surprises. So the only thing they could get wrong is the design and interaction.
The animated actions are horrible and distracting. Even when you shut off animation, it only skips the silly cartoon animations of the player pieces, leaving very annoying and distracting motions in everything else. For instance, whenever someone rolls the dice, the entire view jolts and zooms and swings. It’s not only incredibly distracting from actual game play, but it’s as nauseating as a roller coaster. And it unnecessarily slows down the game.
And playing against any computer players is as limited and disappointing as it’s been since they first launched the digital game. This was fine for a first try at game design, but the AI/computer players do very foolish things that make the game overly simple and disappointing.
They broke severl basic game design principles in this. Very, very disappointing.
